Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze client needs; design computer and applications systems for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency and stability; and make recommendations and modify existing UNIX-based systems.
- Handle Deployment, configure and update management tools with OpsCenter and Satellite Servers
- Perform OS Patching, firmware upgrades using Red Hat Satellite Server, yum and rpm packages.
- Monitor the performance of the UNIX systems, check the CPU utilization, bottlenecks of I/O devices, memory usage and network traffic.

- Automate jobs using Python and bash scripting

Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex technical support and operating systems or subsystems initiatives.
Interface with IT application owners and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.

Performs OS and firmware patching.
Executes security risk and compliance assessments to identify and remediate security risks.
Remediates OS compliance issues on the supported systems by using automated scripts and preparing ORM audits using HPSA tool.
Directs and plans the design of subsystems and integration of total systems and determines system specifications and/or customizations.
Supports on-call in a weekly rotation basis for production issues.
Provides, direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff.
Other:
